Harmony OS is finally launched - Huawei Harmony OS

Smartphones are becoming more and more popular in our lives. Even people who don’t know mobile phones will know some terms about mobile phones, such as Huawei’s Harmony system. What is the "Harmony" system?

A harmony system is a new distributed operating system oriented to all scenes, which can link scenes, equipment, and characters together to create a world of interconnected virtual terminals. Realize fast discovery, fast connection, hardware mutual assistance, and resource sharing of various smart devices that users come into contact with in life, and provide the best scene experience with the most suitable equipment. The micro-kernel design of the Harmony System can greatly save costs, and the distributed design can enable the Internet of Things to better achieve interconnection and interoperability.

Harmony designer Huawei started the project very early. When the news of Harmony R&D came out, many people thought that this was just a "painting cake" plan, coupled with some ulterior motives in guiding public opinion, people were not optimistic about this new system. However, with the continuous development of 5G, coupled with the frictions between China and the United States in various fields, the development of the Harmony system has been accelerated, not only to get rid of US sanctions, to create a new situation for my country in related fields, but also for the future of my country Be able to embark on the road of independent research and development. 
In February 2021, the Harmony system was upgraded and updated on Huawei Mate X2, and other Huawei devices have also begun to push the 2.0 test version to developers. After the update, the system has undergone obvious changes. First, the logo icon is changed to the Harmony system, which is HarmonyOS. The version displayed on the phone is 2.0 Developer Beta 3.


Then, by observing the desktop, you can find that there is a small white bar under some APP icons. Swiping the icon from bottom to top can trigger a new feature:  Service card: It allows users to directly operate the APP on the desktop without having to directly click into it, which is very convenient and fast. Harmony has added this small function to some basic functions, such as music, clock, telephone, etc. In addition, there are changes to the status bar. When you pull down the status bar for the first time, the system will remind you, pull down from the left to enter the notification center, and there is a new independent notification center. Slide down to the right to open the control center. The new interface is also very different, divided into three parts: media control component, control switch component, and hyper terminal component. There is a certain gap between the current Harmony system and the Android system. Many people refer to this system as "Android swapping". This idea is one-sided. The current Harmony system must be compatible with Android first and then expand and innovate.
